my holds: let me show u them

at the store i work at, we are allowed three holds per store. this means that at any point in time, i have six items on hold. because i am so broke right now that im not allowing myself to go shopping, i end up "shopping" while working, thus i have an excellent collection of holds right now. let me show u them:

odyn jeans in the fyn straightleg cut, aubergine wash (not available online - sry guyz).
im not real into colored denim but this purple is totally grown up and is extremely soft as well. its muted enough to -almost- be as neutral as blue denim is.

WESC karolin 3/4 sleeve tunic.
mine is in shades of purple, and its for sure not something i would normally be into. its a little bit western, a little bit smock-y, but its a lot WESC, so i was sold immediately. also: in the next few months we are getting a shipment of WESC denim all the way up to a 32, which means after a year and a half, i will finally own a pair of WEs.

tulle poly-knit cap sleeve trapeze tee.
i love this top, but i hate that its the same fabric that bad grim reaper costumes are made out of. its affordable and fits great, so i am getting it for sure. the collar turns into a peter pan color at the nape with a keyhole opening. too cute.

free people kensington scoopneck tee.
i tried it on and my boss said, "if you dont get that, im going to punch you in the face." between that and the tiny button detailing at the cleave', i was sold again.

have you noticed how i am totally into purple recently? go figs.

i also have a pair of the new free people blueblack wash trouser jeans, a great pair of jeffrey campbell kitten heels (which are amazingly comfortable and reminiscent of a pair of biviel shoes), and a pair of blank denim straight leg in an overdyed wash, but the internet is not as on the ball as my store is, so i can't find pictures. how tragic!

so, future boyfriends of mine, anytime you are looking for a gift, just pick me up something from my holds, please and thanks.

project: leave vegas in ruins.

the vay cay.

i think our vacation was a success.

our haul

this was our first day's haul. ...but we all know its whats inside the bag that counts!

raincoat. and hair.
anthropologie raincoat.

scoop nyc flats.
scoop nyc flats. ($15!)

pan am bag. closet disaster. pan am bag.
marc jacobs pan am bag. also, ignore my closet, thanks!

the trip to vegas also left me lusting for more things that are a smidge out of my grasp, such as the juicy couture kate pants.

the hearts on the pocket are just my thing, you know? these also came in the most beautiful brown color, but now, of course, i cant find them online! if you can, dear reader, please pass them my way!

melikalikimaka!

rumor on the streets is that the holiday free people line is hawaiian themed.

memo to free people: are you serious right now? just when you were coming out with reliably cute merchandise, you are going to go ahead and hang yourself with a hawaiian holiday line. im sorry, but this is unacceptable. more unacceptable than only manufacturing your denim up to a 31, more unacceptable than every single hippy-dippy, ill fitting babydoll dress. pack your things up, you are fired.

in better news, i am packing my bags and jetting off to las vegas in less than six hours. i will be staying minutes away from both the juicy couture store, and the marc jacobs boutique. heaven help me, vegas will be left in ruins.
