j crew gramercy coat

i love this coat. i am trying desperately to replace my coat (a bcbg coat purchased in winter of 05), and this is very close to exactly what i want. minus the $500 price tag, of course.

houndstooth!

as the summer dwindles into fall, its time to find the perfect winter coat. here in seattle, it never gets cold enough to warrant any sort of puffy, down-filled monstrosity, thankfully. as my search starts out, i couldn't help but notice that houndstooth is everywhere. the scottish pattern is one of my favorites and im glad its so popular, and thus, accessible for me.
