white hot peep toes.

the vast majority of the time, i am not a shoe person. i mean, i love shoes, but i am the type of person where function comes before form. i have to be able to wear them all of the time, including to work. i have to be able to wear them outside (which means no suede, which means these beauties are not an option). and! they have to be hot like motherfucking fire.

i don't like anything strappy, i don't like heels that are too narrow or pointy, i don't like this whole jazz shoe trend, i abhor most patent leather, and sorry, but slouchy boots give me cankles. no thanks.

but these? these are glorious.

the shape alone is lust-worthy, and the moment i saw them, i started listing off the things i could wear them with. my favorite black skinny jeans, my amazing vintage blueberry dress, my anthropologie summer dress that i do not wear nearly enough.

and! the cherry on my sundae? they are totally on sale too.

oh, christ.

you know, sometimes the universe just decides to give you everything you want.

like, how i wanted LAMB to come in a size 14.

AND NOW THEY DO. and oh, what do you know, lucky me, its also the most adorable pair of sailor pants ever!

and what else did i ask for? more spectator pumps?

WELL OKAY! i mean, do i really even have to say anything about these? i want to put them in my mouth and nurse them like they are my life source.

so, universe, thank you for giving me nearly everything that i have ever wanted. now, please deliver the purse below, and see to it that it is stuffed full of money. thank you.

bitter ex girlfriend seeks beautiful bag

with the demise of my most recent catastrophic relationship (lying, cheating, no good, piece of trash, et cetera) i am refocusing my life, and rethinking what other trash is in my life. trash like, oh i dont know, my impressive collection of broken, haggard and discolored purses. and really, the best thing for me to do in this situation would be to replace those expendable pieces with this glorious miu miu bag.

sort of like replacing that other expendable thing that has occupied too much of my life.

i mean, yeah whatever, the bag is a month's pay, but hello! it has bows! and its big and soft and so... so... satchelly! and yes, i am aware that all im going to carry in it is my lavish collection of receipts, some lost quarters and maybe some chapstick. but maybe if i have this bag, it will empower me to improve the quality of my life! maybe it will make me more responsible, more motivated to do things like throw away my receipts and put my change in my change purse!

this bag marks the beginning of a whole new me!

... or it would, if i wasn't so brilliantly poor. oh well. i will just continue to lust fervently after it.

natural comfort is the way to my heart.

i am not a brand loyaltist, but holy shit, how much do i love natural comfort shoes? and now that they have been bought out by steve madden, their designs are nothing short of freakin' fabulous.
and? they are just as mindblowingly comfortable as they were before. the three above are available through natural comfort's website, but you can also find them at nordstrom. the newest designs haven't shown up at zappos or urban outfitters yet, but ill let you know if they do. there is a pair of stacked heel pumps (available in grey, red, plum and black crinkle patent leather) at the nordstrom store, but i haven't been able to locate them online. i'll get a picture up as soon as i can, because seriously, they are delicious. and again, so comfortable.

these are the ones i currently have:

i love them. love them. but they are on their way out thanks to me wearing the death out of them. fortunately for you all, piperlime has them on sale for a scandalous $40. not in my size though! all you small footed wonders should hit that up.

houndstooth!

as the summer dwindles into fall, its time to find the perfect winter coat. here in seattle, it never gets cold enough to warrant any sort of puffy, down-filled monstrosity, thankfully. as my search starts out, i couldn't help but notice that houndstooth is everywhere. the scottish pattern is one of my favorites and im glad its so popular, and thus, accessible for me.

click on any image for a link to where the coats are sold. also, the second to last coat? the anne klein one? can somebody please tell me what cellular parasite is growing out of her side and created that enormous bump? i think i need to investigate some sort of vaccine for that.

penguin, free people & moss mills

oh, penguin by musingwear. if i could outfit my entire wordrobe from one brand, i think penguin would be it. it's classic, sassy and sexy, and it inadvertently pays homage to my ska roots thanks to its mod u.k. influences. i even like their watches, and trust me, i am not a watch person, mostly because they just draw attention to my chubby carnie hands. i think, however, i would suffer the curious glances in the direction of my hands in exchange for this beauty.

sometime in the last year, free people stopped being "hippy dippy bullshit" and started being, well, extraordinary. i love, love this tailored sweater peacoat with the embroidery. just ... leave the afghan backdrop at my grandmothers, okay?

lastly, hello, moss mills? please just give me everything. specifically, the squirrel ring, this birdy ring, the weiner dog necklace (of course), and the nest bracelet. okay, thanks.
